There's been very few times over my life that I've been to a concert and left the show truly in awe of the artist, but that was the case for Noah Kahan. He took the stage of Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on April 14th for one of the three shows he was playing in the city and put on a truly unforgettable show.

Over the past year Noah Kahan has become one of my favorite artists, and this show was one I had been waiting a while for, and let me tell you, he did not disappoint. I was super excited once his tour started a few weeks prior, after I saw the killer setlist he complied, playing ALL my favorite songs. Some of my favorite parts of the set were his performances of "Your Needs, My Needs", "Everywhere, Everything", and "You're Gonna Go Far". From the very second he took the stage to the moment he left, Noah's presence was electric. Although his discography is rather mellow, he was able to maintain an energetic set.

The way he produced the show allowed for him to emote his exact vision when creating his songs. He played with various set designs, musical production, and just general performance techniques that resonated perfectly with his audience. I love how for a segment of the show he set up the stage to resemble the living room in his childhood home. During this set, he sang songs that related to his childhood which I found the symbolism to be very creative. Every single person in the crowd of 20, 000 people was so captivated and memorized from start to finish.

I will say if I had to name a flaw in the show, it would be that he was not the most interactive with the audience. There were a few moment where he would crack some jokes and engage with fans, but I would've liked to see a bit more of this. The moments his was interactive were hilarious, so much so that if Noah decided to do a comedy tour I would definitely attend, but it is because of his impeccable sense of humor that I want to see more of it instead of the odd humorous song introduction.

It has now been a week since the concert, and it is still the only thing consuming my mind. Not only is Noah Kahan a truly phenomenal musician but he certainly proved himself as a phenomenal performer as well. I would highly recommend attending one of his shows on this tour if he is coming to a city near you!
